      New brownfields handbook available from EPA Posted on June 5, by Mick The Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published a new (June ) handbook titled, “Anatomy of Brownfields Redevelopment.”. practical and interactive workshop, Brownfields provides project managers with the tools, techniques, and resources required to recycle land and put it to intelligent and equitable use to benefit your community both economically and environmentally.

    The Brownfields Law and Health Monitoring The Brownfields Law expanded the types of government and non-governmental organizations eligible for grant funding, the types of sites eligible for funding and the resources available to promote sustainable brownfields cleanup and reuse. Our Brownfields Program works with local governments, non-profits, tribes, and community stakeholders across the state who are interested in cleaning up brownfields for redevelopment. We help them navigate a full range of environmental activities — from environmental assessments and cleanup, to redevelopment planning.

    This tool is provided as a screening tool only to prioritize sites based on chemicals detected above ATSDR Health Comparison values. This information helps guide reuse planning for Brownfields Site. The results from this tool should not be used to evaluate communities that may be exposed to hazards waste or to make public health decisions about.
